A letter from the owner, Miranda:
In 2013, And Arlen began as Studio 15 jewelry. It was a passion project between myself and two high school friends which started on Etsy. Seven years later, Studio 15 Jewelry has now become And Arlen and is run by myself and a few helpers (who I am so grateful for!).
And Arlen is a space where I can combine my love for photography, gemstones, and everything business related. I'm able to create jewelry and use my extensive knowledge of gemstones to source some of the most beautiful gems you'll see (like our Watermelon Tourmaline Slice Necklaces). I'm so happy to be able to use the photography skills i've developed over the years to take all of our product and marketing photos as well as shoot look books for the store. Over the years I've worked in local jewelry stores which has helped me perfect my wire wrapping and shown me exactly how I want to run my own business.
The idea behind And Arlen was to create a jewelry like that is easy to wear, beautiful, and sophisticated. My goal is to design pieces that will be your new go-to. And Arlen's staple pieces can be worn with anything you have in your closet, and they are easy-to-love pieces you will wear every day. If you need a little inspiration, take a look here, or you can even message us, and we’d love to help you put together some looks.
And Arlen is not only a space for pretty jewelry, but it is a tool to build and support my community. From the pop-up markets attended to the funds we've raised for organizations like Black Lives Matter, COVID-19 Mutual Aid, and Leap Girl Africa, this community of incredible people keeps me going. And Arlen is not just another silent business here to make money. I will continue to build this business to stand up and speak out for what I believe in and educate those who will and will not listen, will you join me?
To start, I've been loving and learning from Rachel Cargle's The Great Unlearn. Blog post to come!
With a grateful heart,
PS I'd love to learn more about you so send me a message at firstname.lastname@example.org!
