Jewelry Maker

Interested in working with your hands and being creative everyday while surrounded by a relaxing low-key environment? Come join our team as a jewelry maker! We’re looking for a detail-oriented person who enjoys learning new skills and is ready to support our fast-growing company.

 

As a jewelry maker you’ll be making necklaces, earrings, and rings. Your day to day work will be making large quantities of the same or similar deigns so if that sounds enjoyable this job will be perfect for you! Though jewelry making can be monotonous at times it is also relaxing and rewarding seeing the end product (plus you can totally listen to music or podcasts while you work). We will mix it up for you and may ask you to do other tasks like design new pieces, pack orders, or work on marketing projects etc.

And Arlen is a jewelry company that focuses on making durable jewelry made to be worn every day. Our jewelry is handmade using genuine gemstones and high-quality metals at an accessible price point with inclusive sizes. We’re motivated by the community that supports us and think it’s fundamental that a business do good in this world. We donate a portion of profits to various organizations, are outspoken about social issues and urge our community to do the same.

 

Our Culture

We value your contributions so you will be an equal member of our team which means you’ll be paid as an equal member of our team. Our pay structure is designed so you have stability with being paid $20/hour, but also have a stake in the business at the end of the month when we share profits paid as bonuses.

 

Overview

  • Working with the owner in our West Seattle studio
  • 20-30 hours/week with full time potential in the future
  • $20/hour + monthly bonuses based on revenue
  • Paid commute time + tolls if applicable
  • Partial work from home option after 3 months

 

Qualities we’re looking for

  • Jewelry making skills (specifically soldering)
  • Detail oriented
  • Adaptable and willing to help out on other tasks when needed
  • Creative
  • Excited about jewelry and eager to learn
  • Great eyesight (we work with small pieces)

Note: though it would be ideal for you to have experience with jewelry making if you’re interested in this job, but don’t have experience do still apply! 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Soldering
  • Stone setting
  • Measuring, cutting filing
  • Quality control
